Many of us are struggling with stress now more than ever – and tension is robbing us of sleep.
If you are unsure of how to get deeper sleep without medication, a simple treadmill change may be all you need.
Here’s how to do it:
Listen to the sounds of the bowl
You are not alone, 65 percent of us have a problem “turning off” the brain at night! One solution: Listen to Tibetan or Himalayan sounds for 20 minutes before the lights go out. Researchers at the University of California, San Diego, say the soft sounds emitted by these cups emit several waves, which reduce the tension that causes insomnia by 89 percent.
Eat oatmeal cookies
We think of it as breakfast food, but Canadian researchers say adding oats as a snack before bed can reduce the risk of waking up in the middle of the night by 55 percent in a week.
Lower the temperature
Keeping your bedroom temperature at around 20 degrees Celsius or lower will reduce the risk of waking up early in the morning or at night, say Yale University researchers.
